PS3Splitter

PS3Splitter is a tool allowing users to break up large 4GB+ files into smaller files. This application will automatically scan for large files that require splitting. Making things easy for the user to get their backups working by doing simple copy/move operation [PC -> external HDD -> PS3 internal HDD] which is much faster and reliable than copying via FTP.

  • File split is compatible with Open Manager & Gaia Manager methods.
  • "Delete original file" as option.
  • AutoUpdate as option.
  • Aside from progress bar for file split operation there is additional progress bar showing total progress - helpful if processing more than one file.
  • Total progress is also visible in taskbar under Windows 7.
  • Parts file size is set to 1024 MB.

I'm confused, I thought that

I'm confused, I thought that this tool allowed to run the games with files larger than 4 gigabytes from the external drive, but I think the purpose is only to transport the games on a FAT32 media, this is correct?

Yup

correct

in the options the default

in the options the default path shuld be "s:\gamez" but in 1.1.4.0. is "s:\games". Ain't this a typo?

re: in the options the default

This path is invalid for most users anyway, so they have to set it on their own - we are thinking about leaving this field as empty by default. But yes, you are right - this is a typo... ;)

P.S. Please next time post your comments on functionalities under certain version you use - for example Changelog - 1.1.4.0

Splitter

I ran the splitter yet it picked up 0 large files, yet i have to play ufc etc via internal.
Using Windows Vista

Hmm...

Are you still having this problem?

Join / merge

I am not sure where should I post it - here or under changelogs... I have a request for a PS3Splitter project feature, not specific version, so I hope this is a good place. :) Any chance for a join/merge functionality?

Ticking "Delete Orginal File" did not remove the file.

Ticking "Delete Orginal File" did not remove the file.

Spooky...

We tested it on Windows7 and it seems that everything works fine. Out of curiosity I made a retest and still this functionality is okay to us.
Check user permissions for the folder or whether file is not already in use by some application (such as uTorrent).
